Anthony Couture is the writer, producer, and director of the award winning short, Around About Tuesday, and feature length film, red deer. The former receiving best short film at the Montreal Film Festival and having been sold to the Women's Network, and the latter a Jury Citation recipient for Best Canadian First Feature at the Toronto International Film Festival 2000, Best Film at the Victoria Independent Film & Video Festival 2001, and Best Film at Infest: Canadian Independent Film Festival 2001. red deer has screened at a number of international festivals, including SXSW in Austin, and Hof International Filmtage in Germany in 2001. In that same year, the film took part in a special screening organized by the Canadian consulate in Berlin for a retrospective of Canadian cinema of note. red deer was purchased for Canadian television broadcast by The Movie Network, MovieCentral, and CityTv. Anthony is currently under production for his 2nd feature, People in Rooms.
