Situated in the north of Harlem, Charles’ restaurant lives by its moniker, displaying all the warmth and comfort of a family kitchen. Striped down in decor and appointments, a place like Charles’ is all about the food. Genuine fired chicken, succulent ribs and an assortment of other selections depending on the day (wouldn’t hurt to call ahead to find out), this is the kind of place that is almost worth the plane ticket alone just to get a plate full of this authentic and very comforting fare.
