Paul Andrew Hayes' work is primarily sculptural in design and it finds inspiration within the minute detail and architectural complexity of the natural world. Often drawing from botanical sources, Hayes' constructions of flowing mountains of paper are formed with the idea of bringing our microscopic world to the surface. With hints of quantum mechanics guiding the process and utilizing light as though through leaves on a tree, Hayes sculptures elegantly bridge interior spaces with the external world.
